360 SPORTS ACADEMY

About Us

At 360, athletes will be able to have fun with physical activity through both structured and unstructured free play that incorporates a variety of body movements. An early active start enhances the development of brain function, coordination, social skills, gross motor skills, emotions, and imagination. It also helps young athletes build confidence, develop posture and balance, build strong bones and muscles, achieve a healthy weight, reduce stress, sleep well, move skillfully, and enjoy being active.

Coach Bernie Headley

Founder & Executive Director

In 2011, Coach Bernie recognized that his daughter wasn't receiving the support she needed on the volleyball court. At that time, volleyball wasn't well-established in his community, but Coach Bernie's determination and vision inspired him to create a change that would benefit not just his daughter, but also other girls in pursuit of volleyball. Thus, the 360 Sports Academy was founded!

Since its inception, over 100 girls from diverse backgrounds have participated in the program. It not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also equips them with skills for life beyond volleyball. Participants learn the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and gain access to resources that pave the way for college readiness. "Rather than just teaching these kids to survive, my principles and values guide them on how to truly live."

With more than a decade of coaching experience, Coach Bernie now serves as the Director and Head Coach at 360 Sports Academy.

Coach Bernie's Advice: "Don't shy away from discomfort. Embrace your fears. Hard work triumphs over talent when talent chooses not to put in the effort. You are powerful beyond measure."

Athletes will have the chance to elevate their game by learning to compete as elite volleyball players through focused mental and physical training with our top-notch coaches and trainers. We firmly believe that during your time at our Academy, you will receive the finest training available in the country. Achieving success will entail hard work and dedication from both the parent and the student-athlete. Our Academy operates under a strict structure, and to achieve the desired results, athletes must adhere to all of our policies and procedures. Our mission is to propel athletes to achieve heights they cannot reach alone. Parents, remember young athletes tend to exaggerate when being praised and/or criticized. You should temper your reaction until you investigate.

Open discussion with the coach is always welcomed, but please schedule that conversation with the coach in advance. An athlete's self-confidence and self-image will be improved by support at home. Comparison to others is discouraged. Encourage the athlete to do their best at all times.
